What a pack is worth, set by set
Multiplying each set’s measured pull rates by its current card prices gives the average market value of one pack. Across the 6 sets here, that average runs from 18% to 49% of what the pack costs.

Averages across many packs, not what any single pack holds: the value of every set here sits in a few chase cards, so most packs come in below the figure and a rare one lands far above it. Market price is also not what you would net, since selling costs fees and buyers pay under market. Pull rates are community estimates, not manufacturer figures. Prices from August 19, 2026.
What a simulator can show you, and what it cannot
A sealed pack and a box site both come with published odds. The difference is what you can do about them.
Nobody can check an individual sealed pack. The pull rates above are the published and community-measured figures for each set, and the only honest way to test them is across a large number of openings, comparing what you actually pulled against what the rates predict. That is a statistics question, not a cryptography one, and it is what the variance checker is for.
A provably fair box site is different. It commits to a value before you open, reveals it afterwards, and publishes the ticket range for every item. That lets you recompute one specific result and confirm it was fixed in advance, which no sealed pack can offer. You can do that on any covered site with the verifier.
Neither check tells you whether the odds themselves are generous. That is a separate question, and we are explicit about what verification cannot prove.
