If you want mystery box sites like Boxed.gg, look past the catalogue first. What Boxed.gg does differently is what happens after a pull: sell it back, swap it through its Exchange, trade it in toward a graded slab, ship it to 22 places including the UK, or take crypto. Every one of those is a trade with Boxed.gg itself. HypeDrop and PackDraw keep some of those exits; Ripster.gg ships or buys back, and only in the US.
Boxed.gg's features come from its help centre (14 October 2026), its catalogue from reviews read in August and September. Other catalogues were read on 14 October, Ripster.gg's on 27 October.
What Boxed.gg actually sells
Cards and skins, by the reviews' count
Published reviews list six card games on Boxed.gg, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, Riftbound and Lorcana, plus sports cards and CS2 skins, with boxes from about 197 to 3,051 gems when we read Deadspin and Draftsim in August 2026. A gem is worth roughly $0.01, so that is about $1.97 to $30.51 a box, and gems are sold in bundles from $25 to $1,000.
Its help centre adds the rest of the floor plan. Every box shows a drop table listing each possible item and its chance before you open, and you can open one to five at a time or run a free demo. Vending Machines are its premium format, focused on graded cards and slabs at higher prices. Forge lets users build boxes from a single category, with the creator receiving roughly 13% of the gems spent opening them. Battles run from 1v1 to 3v3, including uneven 1v3 and 1v5, in four modes: Crazy, where the lowest total wins; Terminal, where only the last round counts; Shared, where players split the pulls; and Group Unboxing, where everyone keeps what they open.
It is run by Loot Labs Inc. of Seattle, and it is not available at all in Michigan, Washington, Louisiana or South Carolina.
Every exit is a trade with Boxed.gg
This is the part to understand before comparing anything. A pull lands in your inventory, and from there you can sell it back for gems, withdraw it as a physical card, swap it through Exchange for another item of similar value, or trade it in on the Marketplace toward a graded slab or CS2 skin that Boxed.gg has listed, putting up to 50 inventory items toward one trade. Its help centre is explicit that none of this involves other collectors: cards cannot be sold, traded or gifted between players, so every transaction is between you and Boxed.gg.
Earlier versions of this page described the Marketplace as trading with other users. That was wrong, and the difference matters. You are not finding a buyer who wants your card; you are spending your pulls at Boxed.gg's prices, which have shipping built in, on a slab Boxed.gg has chosen to list. Marketplace orders cannot be cancelled once placed, and you cannot top up a shortfall with gems.
Exchange has a limit worth knowing if you collect Lorcana: Lorcana, CS2 and Sports are disabled categories, so you cannot swap into them. You can still sell those items back or withdraw them. The number of Exchange swaps you get each week depends on your subscription tier.
When a pull comes in under what you paid, Boxed.gg also credits Luckback shards automatically, spendable in a seven-tier market that refreshes daily. They are a separate balance and cannot be turned back into gems.
Shipping, by its own numbers
Physical cards ship from a US facility to 22 countries and territories. In North America that is the United States and Puerto Rico at 550 gems a shipment, Canada and Guam at 1,000, and Mexico at 3,000. In Europe it is the United Kingdom at 1,000 and fourteen other countries, mostly at 2,500, with Spain at 3,500. Australia and New Zealand are 2,500 each.
Two rules change what a withdrawal costs. Cards withdrawn within the same 24 hours share one shipping charge, up to 15 cards, and Boxed.gg's own example is a collector in Spain paying 17,500 gems for five cards sent separately against 3,500 for the same five sent together. And a high-demand card marked with a turtle icon can stretch an order to around five weeks; Boxed.gg says the whole shipment moves at the pace of its slowest item. If a turtle-marked chase card is in the batch, decide whether waiting for it is worth holding up the rest.
Boxed.gg commits to a ship date rather than a delivery date. US transit typically takes two to four weeks from that date, and graded slabs and Marketplace items add roughly 3 to 10 days of processing first. Customs duties on international orders are the recipient's to pay.

The card alternatives
HypeDrop, cards up front
HypeDrop's homepage is eight trading-card categories and gift cards, from Pokemon to Vintage TCG. On 14 October its Vintage TCG rail carried a Legendary Collection booster box valued at $335,613.49, its Magic rail ran sealed product from $689.99 to $2,565.49, and its One Piece rail held a Monkey.D.Luffy EB04-061 at $15,081.79, all HypeDrop's own valuations. It carries Lorcana and Riftbound too.
Two things pull the other way. The box list behind that homepage is mostly goods: about 95 of the 855 boxes on its North American list were card boxes. And its FAQ ships to the United States, Canada and 26 European countries with no United Kingdom, so a UK collector moving to HypeDrop loses the physical route entirely.
On exits it has the nearest equivalent here. Its FAQ describes an exchange that swaps an unboxed item for another item from its store, or for credit, a trade with the site on the same principle as Boxed.gg's Exchange, though HypeDrop states no value band, fee or weekly limit for it. It also sets a "value obtained" rule: you cannot sell an item back for more than the value you got it at, though you carry any fall in its price. See the HypeDrop verifier.
Ripster.gg, if you are in the US
Ripster.gg sells cards only: Pokemon, One Piece and sports cards, plus one Disney Lorcana box and one Riftbound box. On 27 October it listed 38 boxes from $0.87 to $190.26, shelved by what you are chasing under names such as Holy Grails and By Set. Its menu lists Boxes, Packs, Battles, Upgrades and Daily Drops, and its nine Pokemon packs ran from $1 to $500. Its exits are simpler than Boxed.gg's: ship the card, or sell it back for site balance.
It states that it is available only in the United States, and not in every state, which settles the question for everyone else. For a US Lorcana collector it is thin: one Lorcana box, Villains Lair, on 27 October. Load it in the Ripster.gg verifier.
PackDraw's Pokemon packs
PackDraw is a goods and luxury site with a card range: a Pokemon search on 14 October returned 31 official packs, from $0.78 to $1,492.50, alongside a top-opens rail led by a PSA 10 1999 Base Set Shadowless 1st Edition Charizard at $545,000. Its exit works like a cash-out: its terms let you exchange an item for its listed value as balance and redeem that in crypto, with the value counted at the moment you redeem. The goods sites on the same lists
Cases.gg and JemLit turn up on "sites like" lists and lead with goods. Cases.gg listed 426 boxes from $0.10 to $14,867.84 on 14 October, with a Pokemon category among fashion, tech, watches and LEGO, and modes that run to Crash and Coinflip. JemLit listed 334 boxes from $0.10 to $9,950 plus a Packs shelf of 15 card packs, one of them a Yu-Gi-Oh 25th Anniversary pack at $9.99, and its homepage says it ships to "all of Europe, the US and many other regions", naming Asia, Africa and South America among them. For a card collector, both are mostly a change of hobby.

What you can actually check
Boxed.gg publishes its whole calculation and then stops one step short. Its fairness article, read on 4 October 2026, sets out the method. It shows a hash of the server seed before you open, reveals the seed 24 hours later, and links a code sandbox carrying the whole calculation: an HMAC-SHA512 over your client seed, a permanent salt attached to your account and the nonce, read five characters at a time until it lands below a million. That is enough to recompute your ticket, from 0 to 999,999, and compare it with the number in your game history, though its linked sandbox does not currently run as published, so recomputing means running the code yourself, and no real result has yet been confirmed against it here. What it does not publish is which tickets belong to which card, and that is the piece that ties the number to the pull. Draftsim's review reports the ranges are visible under More Info on a box's drop table (Draftsim), which we have not confirmed; they are not on the fairness page, where a checker would look.
The salt is also why a verifier built for other platforms' seed formats will not reproduce a Boxed.gg ticket: it expects three inputs and a separator, and Boxed.gg adds a fourth, the salt, and joins its message with none.
Of the 17 platforms in our registry, 9 have at least one game whose published method our tool reproduces; for the other 8, the method is unconfirmed or not published.

The combined string GAME-serverSeed-clientSeed-nonce (hyphen separators, game prefix such as BOXES or PVP_BOX) is used as the HMAC-SHA256 key over an empty message. The first 13 hex characters of the digest divide by 2^52 and multiply by the outcome count (floored). HypeDrop and CSGORoll both publish this engine, with different scales.

- HypeDrop's own names: Your Hand is the client seed, Our Hand is the server seed, Play Count is the nonce (starts at 1).

A cold run on a new site needs perspective, not a theory. On an item listed at 0.5%, there is a 60.6% chance of seeing none across 100 openings, and it takes roughly 598 openings to reach 95% confidence of one hit. Switching sites resets nothing, because every opening is independent and no item becomes due. The variance checker compares your own history with the published rates.

Among mystery box sites like Boxed.gg, the deciding questions are what you can do with a pull and where it can go. HypeDrop's exchange is the nearest equivalent to Boxed.gg's trade-with-the-site model and its card homepage reaches a six-figure sealed box, but its box list is mostly goods and it does not ship to the UK. Ripster.gg is cards only and US only. PackDraw's Pokemon packs come with a crypto exit. If you are in the UK and want your cards in hand, Boxed.gg is the only site here whose shipping list names the UK.
